Pacers

Jacques

Pacer: 1h30
Years as an ASICS Pacer for the 21k: 2 years, 2016-2017
A bit about Jaques: I was a pace bunny for the half marathon in 2016, and I loved my experience. It is with great pleasure that I will be back again this year to encourage runners who are aiming for a time of 1h30. Running with a group is a great source of pleasure for both participants and the pace bunny. Good luck everyone!

Luc

Pacer: 1h40
Years as an ASICS Pacer for the 21k: 6 years, 2012-2017
A bit about Luc: I paced my first Banque Scotia 21k de Montreal in 2012 and it is with great pleasure that I have repeated the experience each year since then. You can rest assured that I won’t stop keeping the pace and the motivation up until we pass the finish line at our target time. When I say “rest” note that you still have to do the running, have fun and enough sense of humor to listen to my jokes.

Mohammed

Pacer: 1h45
Years as an ASICS Pacer for the 21k: 2 years, 2016-2017

Marie-Eve

Pacer: 1h50
Years as an ASICS Pacer for the 21k: 6 years, 2012-2017
A bit about Marie-Eve: Being small, I’m asked every year if this is the first time I’ve paced, if I’ll be able to keep the pace, and so on. Given my size, I hold my pacer sign with my pace time at arm’s length, well in the air! With the wind, sometimes my arm shakes, the sign folds and I need to hold it with both hands! For the second year in a row, I will be doing a “double”, the Boston Marathon on Monday and the Banque Scotia 21k de Montreal on Sunday.

Francois

Pacer: 2h00
Years as an ASICS Pacer for the 21k: 3 years, 2013-2017
A bit about Francois: If everything goes well, I will have done the Boston Marathon the previous weekend for the 5th time. My 21st marathon in 6 years. My biggest racing anecdote/adventure is that I was very close to being the victim of the explosions of the Boston marathon in 2013. A mixture of sadness and pride.

Marie-Pierre

Pacer: 2h15
Years as an ASICS Pacer for the 21k: 2 years, 2016-2017
A bit about Marie-Pierre: I like to encourage and entertain the runners by adding some accessories to my outfit. I’ve noticed with experience that my accessories have an impact on the encouragement of the spectators when we go by and gives our group the energy we need to finish strong! Only we can go fast, together we will go further.  For the curious, you can see me in the video of singer Yann Perreau for the song HUMAINS at 2:03 minutes!

Nathalie

Pacer: 2h30
Years as an ASICS Pacer for the 21k: 5 years, 2013-2017
