Bag Check Rules
- Participants will use a personal bag for bag check
- Your bib will have a tear off at the bottom that is to be used for bag check. It will have your bib number on it, so you can be matched to your bag after the event. Please tear the bag check tag off of your bib and affix it to the bag you would like to check with a safety pin or zip tie.
- We strongly recommend that you leave your valuables at home. The Beneva Vancouver Half Marathon is not responsible for any lost or stolen property, including any and all property checked at bag check.

Half Marathon Start:

If you are taking a taxi, uber or Lyft, you are required to use the dedicated drop off zone. If you are being dropped off by a friend or family member, please use this drop off zone as well.
Transit – Take the 99, R4, 25 or 14 to the UBC Bus Loop. Additional 99 Buses will be running. Use Translink’s Trip Planner to confirm your route and arrival time. The UBC Bus Loop is a 20 – 25-minute walk to the start line.

Event Notice
Event Alert System
The Beneva Vancouver Half Marathon will be using a colour-coded Event Alert System (EAS) at this year’s event to communicate the status of course conditions to event staff and participants leading up to and on race day.
The levels range from Low (GREEN) to Moderate (YELLOW) to High (RED) to Extreme (BLACK) based on a variety of factors, including weather and event conditions. All event staff and participants should familiarize themselves with the Event Alert System colour indicators prior to the race, remain alert for directions from race officials, announcers and staff and take precautions to prepare for varying weather and event conditions on race day.
Event staff and participants should stay tuned to the current Event Alert System status via email, announcements and the colour-coded flags at the Help Desk in the Pre-Race Area and at the Water and Aid Stations on course on race day.
