Charity Partners

The Under Armour Eastside 10K is proud to work with key charity partners that support our community.

Urban Native Youth Association

Run for Indigenous Youth. Make a Difference.

Urban Native Youth Association (UNYA) exists to empower Indigenous youth to thrive, lead, and inspire. As Metro Vancouver’s recognized centre of Indigenous youth excellence, UNYA reaches more than 22,000 Indigenous youth of all Nations each year—with over 4,333 urban Indigenous youth directly supported through 20 holistic programs spanning health, wellness, education, housing, arts, sport, and mentorship.

Your steps matter. Every stride amplifies youth voices, celebrates culture, and builds pathways where young people can dream, lead, and succeed. With the race taking place just four days before National Day for Truth & Reconciliation, your participation becomes part of a broader journey toward understanding, respect, and empowerment for Indigenous youth.

Run with purpose. Make a difference in the lives of Indigenous youth.

PHS Community Services Society

PHS Community Services Society (PHS) is an innovative and well-established non-profit organization located in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside (DTES) community that was established in 1993. The organization is one of BC’s largest supportive housing operators that provides supportive housing, healthcare, harm reduction and health promotion for thousands of extremely marginalized people every day in Vancouver and Victoria.

PHS are North American pioneers in truly accessible low-barrier housing and harm reduction services for people with severe mental illnesses, substance use disorder, brain injuries, dementias, and physical disabilities. They operate more than 2,100 units of supportive housing with ‘wraparound’ support services, also providing consumption sites for drug users, and community programming that includes a medical clinic, affordable dentistry and a credit union branch.

Promise Vancouver

Promise Vancouver empowers children & youth in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside to find security in knowing they are valuable & loved. We deliver year-round, trauma-informed programs for students in grades 1-12, including after-school care, summer camps, and our Young Leaders Program (which empowers teenagers with a part-time job and weekly leadership training).

Promise is a home away from home; a safe place where children and youth can build meaningful relationships and experience personal growth, initiating positive cycles within and beyond their communities.

Downtown Eastside Women’s Centre

The mission of the Downtown Eastside Women’s Centre (DEWC) is to provide a safe, non-judgmental environment for women from all walks of life, who live and/or work in the Downtown Eastside. DEWC operates a low-barrier drop-in centre and emergency night shelter, offering safe, women-only space, meals and basic essentials, as well as a continuum of care that nurtures and empowers members towards long-term change.

DEWC sees over 500 women every single day, providing refuge from conditions of poverty and violence, hot, nutritious meals, toiletries and clothing, phone and computer access, as well as specialized support including advocacy, victim services, HIV case management, and housing assistance. In a severely marginalized community, DEWC provides a place where women can come as they are, find resources, support, and sisterhood, and build personal capacity so as to bridge the gap from survival to self-sufficiency

KidSport Vancouver

Sport power kids. Getting in the game ignites a sense of belonging, shapes character, fuels better health, builds confidence and unleashes potential. But cost can be a barrier for many families looking to register their child in organized sport.

That’s where KidSport comes in. Through a confidential application process, KidSport provides funding for kids from families that need financial support to help cover the cost of sport registration fees #SoALLKidsCanPlay!

Donations through the Under Armour Eastside 10K will support the KidSport Vancouver chapter to help get kids off the sidelines and into the game.

La Boussole Centre communautaire francophone

La Boussole Centre Communautaire Francophone is a francophone community centre located in the Downtown Eastside. Our main mission is to support francophones living in precarious situations in Vancouver. The community centre welcomes, accompanies, and guides individuals according to their needs while facilitating their social integration and access to essential services.La Boussole is the only organization in Vancouver providing social services in French to vulnerable francophone populations.

In addition to supporting francophone community members, we also serve the broader Downtown Eastside community through a weekly food bank every Wednesday, distributing bags of fresh food, ready to eat snacks and drinks to anyone in need. We also provide emergency snacks and operate an emergency thrift store that is accessible to all members of the community as well.

Help us raise money to support the francophone community living in precarious situations in Vancouver.
