Directions and Parking

Getting to the Start & Parking

The run will start and finish on Cordova Street, near the Woodward’s Development.

The best and easiest way to get to the Start Area is to bike. We offer complimentary and secure Bike Valet right beside the Start/Finish Line, on Abbot Street. Free bike valet is open 7:30 a.m. – 11 a.m.

The start line is a short walk from either Waterfront station or Stadium-Chinatown Skytrain stations.

The following bus routes arrive near the start line: R5 Express bus (Hastings St.), Route 19 (Metrotown to Stanley Park) and Route 22 (Knight to Downtown).

To plan your trip, use the Translink Trip Planner to find the best options to the start line on race morning. Be sure to arrive at least 30 minutes before the 8:30am race start.

By Car

The best option is to have someone drop you off near the race start – pay attention to road closures (link to event notice when ready).   Alternatively, there is street parking and paid parking lots nearby, including:

Easy Park Lot 2 on the corner of Cambie St. And Pender St and Advanced Parking Lot #220 on the corner of Cambie St. And Dunsmuir St.

Cordova Street access to Cordova Parkade (Easy Park Lot 31) is closed. Vehicles should enter and exit from Water St. Google map directions HERE.

Road Closures

Please anticipate delays and temporary closures on Race Day from 5 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Recommended east/west routes into Downtown are Hastings St, Prior, and Terminal Ave instead of Powell Street and Cordova Street.

If you are planning to drive to the UA Eastside 10K, please be aware of the following road closures on Race Day: 2023 EVENT NOTIFICATION (updated notification will be provided as we near race day)

Event Alert System

The Under Armour Eastside 10K uses a colour-coded Event Alert System (EAS) to communicate the status of course conditions to event staff, volunteers, and participants leading up to and on race day.

The levels range from Low (GREEN) to Moderate (YELLOW) to High (RED) to Extreme (BLACK) based on a variety of factors, including weather and event conditions. All event staff, volunteers, and participants should familiarize themselves with the Event Alert System colour indicators prior to the race, remain alert for directions from race officials, announcers and staff, and take precautions to prepare for varying weather and event conditions on race day.

Event staff, volunteers, and participants should stay tuned to the current Event Alert System status via email, announcements and the colour-coded flags at the Help Desk in the Pre-Race/Post-Race Area and at the Water Stations on course on race day.
