Bag Check

Bag Check will be located in Race Central.

Bag Check will be open from 6:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.   

Bring your own bag!   

In an effort to be more sustainable, we no longer provide plastic bags for bag check. Please pack the items you would like to leave at baggage check into a personal bag. We ask that you use nothing larger than a small backpack.  

Bag Check Rules  

  • Participants will use a personal bag for Bag Check   
  • Your bib will have a tear off at the bottom that is to be used for bag check. It will have your bib number on it, so you can be matched to your bag after the event. Please tear the bag check tag off of your bib and affix it to the bag you would like to check with a safety pin or zip tie.    
  • We strongly recommend that you leave your valuables at home. The Under Armour Toronto 10K is not responsible for any lost or stolen property, including any and all property checked at the baggage check.   
  • Bag Check will close at 11:00 a.m. Any bags not claimed by this time will be available for pick up at the Canada Running Series warehouse at 73 Galaxy Blvd, Unit 4/5, Etobicoke ON, M9W 5T4. To schedule picking up your bag, please contact us.

Directions and Parking

Public Transit    

To reduce the impact of your race day, we suggest choosing public transit to get to the event.    

TTC Subway Service opens at 6:00 a.m. on Race Day and you can get off at Osgoode or Queen Subway station and be right at the Start & Finish Line at Nathan Phillips Square!

Driving Directions  

Driving From the West
Gardiner Expressway east
Take Spadina Ave exit and travel north
East on Dundas St to Chestnut – south on Chestnut and into Green P Parking Lot under Nathan Phillips Square.
University will remain open from Front St north to Dundas as well if travelling through the City (roads are closed at York & Bremner) with the race course on Bay St and Lake Shore. 

Driving From the East
Don Valley Parkway south to Gardiner Expressway.
Take the Jarvis exit and travel north to Dundas then west on Dundas to Chestnut and into the Green P Parking Lot under Nathan Phillips Square.  You can also park in any parking lots east of Yonge St. 

Bike Parking 

BIKE VALET!  

We will offer a complimentary bike valet service on the north side of Nathan Phillips Square.    

Bike Valet is like a coat check for bicycles, and provides secure bike parking service that is free for participants.     

Location: In Nathan Phillips Square, just north of the stage   

Hours of Operation:  

Saturday, April 18: 6:30 am – 11:00 am   

Bike valet will be on a first come, first serve basis.  In the event that Bike Valet is full, and you wish to travel to the race by bicycle, there are a number of FREE bicycle parking locations around Nathan Phillips Square. The locations are as follows:    

On the West side of City Hall beside the Playground    

On the corner of Elizabeth St. and Hagerman St. behind City Hall    

On the Southwest corner of Nathan Phillips Square along Osgoode Lane    

Please note that these are public bicycle parking spots and are on a first come, first served basis. Any bikes that are parked in these locations will not be monitored by event staff or volunteers. The Under Armour Toronto 10K will not be responsible for any damage to bicycles while parked in these locations during the event.    

Accessible Parking 

Accessible parking is available in the parking lot under Nathan Phillips Square Carpark 036 – Green P Parking.  The elevators in section H (rabbit) will bring you to the south end of Nathan Phillips Square, where you can access all race day amenities.     

To access this garage, please enter through Armour St. & Chestnut off of University Ave behind Nathan Phillips Square.    

These elevators may not be able to accommodate larger adaptive racers. 

Parking 

There is plenty of Parking under Nathan Phillips square in Carpark 036 – Green P Parking. To access, please enter through the Chestnut st behind City Hall.   

Event Alert System

The Under Armour Toronto 10K will be using a colour-coded Event Alert System (EAS) at this year’s event to communicate the status of course conditions to event staff and participants leading up to and on race day.  

 The levels range from Low (GREEN) to Moderate (YELLOW) to High (RED) to Extreme (BLACK) based on a variety of factors, including weather and event conditions. All event staff and participants should familiarize themselves with the Event Alert System colour indicators prior to the race, remain alert for directions from race officials, announcers and staff and take precautions to prepare for varying weather and event conditions on race day.  

Event staff and participants should stay tuned to the current Event Alert System status via email, announcements and the colour-coded flags at the Help Desk in the Pre-Race Area and at the Water & Aid Stations on course on race day.
