Other Prizing and Awards

Half Marathon Age Category Awards:

  • Men, Women & Non-Binary based on chip time
  • Categories include 19 & under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+

5K Age Category Awards:

  • Men, Women & Non-Binary based on chip time
  • Categories include 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+

Results will be reviewed for one week following the event. During this seven days athletes are able to lodge a formal, written protest to the race director for review. After the week, results will be finalized, prizing cheques and age category iTab Ribbon Hanger will be issued. Prize cheques will no longer be distributed on event day.

*Prize money winners in the Open, Canadian and Masters categories are not eligible to win an age category award.

Claim Your Award

Participants have 30 days to claim any prizes. Please send an email to awards@canadarunningseries.com with your mailing address, age category and the place you came in and your prize will be mailed out to you.

BC Half Marathon Championship

In partnership with BC Athletics, We are excited to be hosting the 2022 BC Half Marathon Championships this year.

To be eligible for the Championship, you must be at least 18 years old on race day and a competitive member of BCA (prior to the day of competition). For more information on BC Athletic memberships, please refer to this website: https://www.bcathletics.org/Membership/

Jevitty Golden Shoe Award

New to the event this year, we are excited to be including a fun prize from Jevitty Life Science.

Some of the most amazing performances at endurance events happen well behind the elite athletes, so let’s celebrate them! This year, our friends at Jevitty Life Science will be offering a $200 prize to the participant with the highest age (on race day) who finishes the half marathon in under two hours!
