For the safety of all participants, baby carriers, skateboards, roller blades, Kangoo Jump shoes, animals and unauthorized bicycles & wheeled devices are not permitted in the race. Time Limit to complete the 21K course is 3 hours (a pace of 8:32/km). Nordic Pole participants are welcome. Baby Strollers are welcome in the 5K event only. You must register as a 5K with baby stroller participant and it is limited to 100 spots. If you will be participating with a support person, please contact info@canadarunningseries.com and we will ensure your support person is registered correctly.

The Double

Double your pleasure at the Banque Scotia 21K de Montréal!

Save $15 on the total registration fee.

The Double is limited to 250 people and is made up of either the 21K + 10K or the 21K + 5K.

Special instructions for the double:

  • You will receive one bib that is to be worn both days
  • Based on the finishing time you submitted, you may be placed in different starting corrals over the two races.  If this is the case, you will be given an extra corral sticker to place on your bib for Sunday’s race to make sure you get into the right corral!
  • You will receive two shirts with your registration, the long sleeve double shirt and the short sleeve participant shirt when you pick up your bib!
  • You will receive your double medal when you cross the finish line on Sunday!

Kids Run

Ages 2-13

Date: Saturday April 25, 2020
Start Time: 12:45 p.m.
Cost: $25 includes kid’s bib, parent’s bib, kid’s shirt & finisher medal.
Location: Parc Jean Drapeau,  Espace ‘67, île Ste-Hélène.
Distance: 1km approximately This is NOT a timed event.

  • Kids ages 2-8 years old may run with a parent
  • Kids ages 9-13 years old are in a “kids only” division.

Kids Corrals by Age:

Red – 9 to 13 years (kids only)
Yellow – 7 & 8 years (with parents)
Blue – 5 – 6 years (with parents)
Green – 2 – 4 years (with parents)

Kids Run Guidelines

Please note — all children must be picked up by an adult at the finish area, following the guidelines below:

  • All children will receive 2 identical bibs.
  • One bib must be worn by the child participating.
  • The second bib must be worn by the adult accompanying or picking up the child at the finish area.
  • These procedures are in place for the safety of your children. Please respect our event staff as they take the time to check this at the finish area.

Note: Kids Run bibs and shirts can be picked up on race day at the Packet Pickup area.

Elite Hosting

Elite Applications will open on November 4th, 2019 for the 2020 event.  The deadline to submit your application will be February 21st, 2020.  Athlete selection and notification will take place during the week of March 2nd, 2020. 

We do not accept emails or telephone calls.

Only applications submitted through the online elite application form are considered, but please note we do NOT issue invitations for athletes requiring a VISA to attend this event.

All athletes must have run on a certified course since January 1, 2019. An Elite Athlete application does NOT guarantee entry.

All applications must be approved by the CRS Race Director and Elite Athlete Coordinator.

We will inform each applicant of their elite status two weeks after the application deadline. Best efforts will be made to offer early acceptance where possible.

Prizing and Awards

Don’t just win your prize, claim it! Participants have 30 days to claim any prizes. Contact awards@canadarunningseries.com with your name, age category and address and we will mail your prize.

CRS Awards Policy

Results will be reviewed for one week following the event. During these seven days athletes are able to lodge a formal, written protest to the race director for review. After the week, results will be finalized and prizing cheques issued. Prize cheques will not be distributed on event day; letters of congratulations will be issued day of race.

  • “Canadian” is defined as: Citizens; Landed immigrants; and Refugees with official status who have been domiciled in Canada for at least one year (proof may be required).
  • Quebec defined as: FQA athletics membership; or mailing address in QC; or having domiciled in QC for 12 months.
  • Master defined as: athlete being 40 years old plus, day of event.
  • The Banque Scotia 21K de Montréal is sanctioned and certified by Federation quebecoise d’athletisme, Athletics Canada and the IAAF. All athletes, not only the winners, may be subject to random drug testing.

Note: Winners of the Overall Cdn/QC and Overall Masters divisions are not eligible for the age category prizing.
