UA Eastside 10k 2019 Elite Field ANNOUNCED!

This year’s UA Eastside 10k elite field is sure to impress as former Champions, Canadian Olympians, future Olympians & bright young stars of Canadian road running will compete for the 2019 Title.

We will be crowning a new (or former) Champion in the women’s race with a strong field looking to take top spot. Keep your eyes on Sarah Inglis (2017 Eastside10K Champion), Leslie Sexton (2018 CRS Series Champion), Malindi Elmore (2019 Canadian Half Marathon Champion), Kinsey Middleton (2018 Canadian Marathon Champion), Dayna Pidhoresky (2018 #ScotiaHalf Vancouver Champion) & Christy Lovig (2019 Sun Run Master Champion) to break the tape. If you blink, you may miss 12-year-old phenom Sidney Swierenga cross the finish line. The East Vancouver local has been quietly making a name for herself in 2019 by taking wins at the Run For Water 10K, Scotiabank Vancouver 5K and the Summerfast 10K. This will be her first test running against such a deep field so we look forward to seeing how she does!

In the men’s race, our returning champion (Trevor Hofbauer – 29:24) is coming back to defend his title against another very deep field. It will be a dogfight up front with Evan Esselink (2nd place at the 2019 lululemon Edmonton 10K), Ben Preisner (2019 SVHM Champion), Will Norris (2018 STWM Half Marathon Champion), Kevin Coffey and many more top end elites competing this year. Hold onto your hats!
