Beneva Charity Challenge
The Beneva Charity Challenge unites the spirit of runners with a unique fundraising program to support local charities in our community. In 2025, participants raised over $557,000 much needed funds in support of our 48 official charity partners, bringing the total raised since the event’s inception to $14.5 million.

The time to apply to be an official charity partner of the 2026 Beneva Vancouver Half Marathon is now. Join over 40 other incredible charity partners as we aim to fundraise $600,000 through the Beneva Charity Challenge.
Benefits of the Beneva Charity Challenge
- Raise Awareness: 7,000+ registered participants can engage with and support your charity.
- Community Involvement: Opportunities for on-site activations such as water stations, cheer stations, and finish line booths to engage with your fundraisers, donors, supporters, and broader community.
- Focus on Fundraising: We handle all logistics; you can concentrate on fundraising.
- Maximized Donations: Donors can cover processing fees (6.5% of the donation), ensuring more of their contributions go directly to charity.
- Simple Registration and Fundraising: Experience hassle-free race registration, online fundraising, and tax receipting on one simple platform: Race Roster!
- Prizes: A chance to win one of our Beneva Charity Challenge cash prizes!
- Charity Referral Donation Model: Each charity will receive a customized referral link, which provides the charity with a $5 referral donation per individual who successfully registers online via the referral link.
- Payment: Charities will receive online donations (net of processing fees) via weekly direct deposit or bi-weekly cheque payment (payment profile set-up required).

Once your application is submitted, there is a 2 week wait period while our team reviews it. If approved, your charity will be added to the Beneva Vancouver Half Marathon list of Official Charity Partners.

Fundraise as a Participant
We all run for different reasons. Our official charity partners represent a diverse selection of causes, and we encourage you to run for what moves you. Choose a cause that’s close to your heart and create your own personalized fundraising page to share with family and friends.
How to Fundraise for an Official Charity Partner
Option 1: Set up fundraising during registration
- Register for the Beneva Vancouver Half Marathon
- At the end of the registration form, you will see the “Fundraising Settings” section
- Set your fundraising goal, your preferred fundraising organization(s), and your description of why you are fundraising
- After completing your registration, you can search for your personal fundraising page HERE
- Share your personal fundraising page with family and friends!
Option 2: Set up fundraising after completing registration
- Login to your Participant Dashboard and ensure the 2026 Beneva Vancouver Half Marathon is selected from the dropdown menu
- Select the blue “Edit page” button beside Fundraising
- Set your fundraising goal, your preferred fundraising organization(s), and your description of why you are fundraising
- Save updated fundraising information
- Share your personal fundraising page with family and friends!
How to Donate to an Official Charity Partner
Option 1: Donate during registration – Donate to one of our official charity partners when you complete your registration
Option 2: Donate to a participant – Visit a participant’s fundraising page and donate to the official charity partner selected by the participant
Option 3: Donate to a team – Visit a team’s fundraising page and donate to support the team completing the Beneva Vancouver Half Marathon
Option 4: Donate to a fundraising organization – Donate directly to the charity’s fundraising page
