Are there specific etiquette rules for AWD participants?

Adaptive Racers should follow general race etiquette, such as being courteous to other participants, adhering to race rules, and communicating effectively with race officials. AWD participants should be mindful of their own spaces needs, and those of all participants during the event.
AWD participants using an adaptive aid are asked to stay to the right side on the race route when space is available, and to pass others on the left, communicating with their voice whenever possible.

Will AWD participants be offered an early start?

Based on road closure times, PushRim & Handcycle participants will have the opportunity to start a few minutes before the first wave of runners, or receive a start time between corral waves, to allow time to get up to racing speed ahead of other participants. Please be reminded, we operate with rolling road closures, and a maximum speed limit for wheelchair and handcycle participants may be enforced.
