Equity, Access and Inclusion Policy
Organizers of the Canada Running Series strive to create safe and welcoming events
for all interested participants, including accommodations and assistance to address
any potential participation barriers.

Declaration of Inclusion
On behalf of the Canada Running Series, the organizers hereby declare an invitation
to participate in the event to all interested and willing parties. We hereby declare our
intention to create an event that adheres to principles of social equity and inclusion
and is open, welcoming, safe, and accessible.

Statement of Accessibility
In accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, Canada
Running Series has established a process for accessibility inquiries pertaining to each
of the events. Canada Running Series is committed to access for all participants and
spectators involved with the events.

Requests and Feedback Mechanisms
To ensure proper communication and to optimize organizer’s ability to best meet
accommodation requests, requests must be received to Canada Running Series 1
month prior to the event date. All requests for accommodations will be
acknowledged within 72 hours.

For these and any other accessibility requests, or for more information, please
contact info@canadarunningseries.com.

Canada Running Series is committed to ensuring the best possible experience for all
participants & spectators. Participants & spectators can submit feedback regarding
the activities and facilities at the event, including responsiveness to accessibility
needs, following the link in our Post-Race email and filling out the survey.

What assistive devices are allowed on course?

By | Accessibility | No Comments

Recreational, push rim & motorized wheelchairs (with a speed limit of no more than 5 km/hour) are allowed on course. Handcycles will not be permitted on course.

Please note that this course has a lot of hills, so those participating with an assistive device may require a support person.

The post-race area (Savanna Picnic Site) is a grass field with areas of uneven terrain. Your Toronto Zoo strives to provide experiences and events that are accessible to all guests. Accommodation requests by guests are welcome and we will make every effort to provide optimal support for the needs of guests with disabilities.

If I am experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 on race day, will I be issued a refund for not attending the in-person event?

By | Registration | No Comments
Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. That means that once the money is received and accepted, participants will not receive a refund and will not be able to defer their entry to another year.
We ask that anyone experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 on race day stay at home.
If you would like to receive your race kit, please have a friend or family member pick it up on your behalf. They must have your original Race Roster Registration Confirmation Email OR a text, e-mail, or hand-written note that states you allow them to pick up your race kit on your behalf. Race kits will not shipped or available for pickup after the race.
