Race Kit Pickup

All participants in the in-person race or The Vancouver Special Challenge must pick up their race kit at our race kit pickup prior to race day.

Picking up for a Friend?   

Please bring either their original Race Roster Registration Confirmation Email OR a text, e-mail, or hand-written note that states they allow you to pick up their race kit on their behalf.

Important:

  • Bib number and corral colour will be provided to you in our last-minute information e-mail before race day.
  • Please bring a copy of your registration email confirmation AND a piece of photo ID to race kit pickup.

There will be no opportunity for registration on race day.

Directions and Parking

Getting to the Start & Parking

The run will start and finish on Cordova Street, near the Woodward’s Development.

Bike 

The best and easiest way to get to the Start Area is to bike, we offer complimentary and secure Bike Valet right beside the Start/Finish Line. Free bike valet is open 7:30am-11am. 

Transit 

The start line is a short walk from either Waterfront station or Stadium-Chinatown Skytrain stations. 

The following bus routes arrive near the start line: R5 Express bus (Hastings St.), Route 19 (Metrotown to Stanley Park) and Route 22 (Knight to Downtown). 

To plan your trip, use the Translink Trip Planner to find the best options to the start line on race morning. Be sure to arrive at least 30 minutes before the 8:30am race start. 

By Car 

The best option is to have someone drop you off near the race start – pay attention to road closures (link to event notice).   Alternatively, there is street parking and a number of paid parking lots nearby, including:  

Easy Park Lot 2 on the corner of Cambie St. And Pender St and Advanced Parking Lot #220 on the corner of Cambie St. And Dunsmuir St. 

Road Closures

Please anticipate delays and temporary closures on Race Day from 5 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Recommended east/west routes into Downtown are Hastings, Prior, and Terminal instead of Powell and Cordova Streets.

UA Eastside 10K Event Notice

Baggage Check

Baggage Check will be open from 7:15 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. in the Woodward’s Atrium. You are strongly urged to check your bag early and leave yourself time to move to the starting line.

Recommended $2 donation that will go to our official Eastside 10K charities.

ONLY the Canada Running Series clear plastic bag will be accepted at baggage check. This bag is provided at race kit pickup with runner shirt and bib. All checked items must fit inside this bag. There will be no exceptions made to accommodate large items. The dimensions of the bag are: width = 14.5 inches / 37cm and length = 18 inches / 46cm.

Canada Running Series holds no responsibility for items checked in baggage check. Please only bring the essentials and leave your valuables at home.

Post-Race Area

Finish Area Entertainment

An announcer will call out runners coming across the Finish Line. Music and entertainment will be on site in the Post-Race Area, providing entertainment to participants and spectators. Winner Awards will be presented after the run at the finish line.

Finish Area Refreshments

Water, nuun hydration, and a variety of snacks will be available to participants in the Post-Race Area. For those interested in a post-run meal or beverage, several restaurants are located just steps from the Finish Line.
