CANADA RUNNING SERIES - RULES & POINTS
- YOU MUST BE A CANADIAN OR LANDED IMMIGRANT to be ELIGIBLE
for SERIES POINTS.
- The TOP 10 CANADIAN RESISDENT MEN & WOMEN at each
event (Open & Masters Divisions) WILL SCORE POINTS AS FOLLOWS:
1st = 30 pts.
2nd = 26 pts.
3rd = 22 pts.
4th = 18 pts.
5th = 14 pts. |
6th = 10 pts
7th = 8 pts
8th = 6 pts.
9th = 4 pts.
10th = 2 pts. |
- YOUR BEST 3 PERFORMANCES COUNT IN THE FINAL STANDINGS
(THERE IS NO MINIMUM)
- YOU CAN COUNT UP TO A MAXIMUM OF 2 RACES IN YOU PROVINCE
ON RESIDENCE, out of the 3 "counters" (e.g Steve Boyd, Toronto Olympic
Club, Danuta Bartoszek, our SERIES '99 Open Winners had to count races
in BC or Quebec).
- If you do 3 races in Ontario, you can only count your
best 2 scores, then add one more from BC or Quebec.
- It is important to note that YOU WILL SCORE AGE CATEGORY
POINTS SIMULTANEOUSLY in you REGIONAL LEAGUE OR RESIDENCE.
- You will need 3 RACES TO COUNT IN YOU SEPARATE REGIONAL
LEAGUE STANDINGS (see Western Loop, New Balance Ontario Loop, Circuit
Adidas du Quebec).
- TIE BREAKING RULES are as follows. If individuals are
tied on points after their best 3 performances, head-to-head competition
will determine 1st vs. 2nd, &c. In the event that this does not
break the tie, Purdy & Gardiners tables on "Comparative Performances"
will be used to score the individual's best 3 performances and the combined
P&G points total winner will be declared the winner.
