The KidSafe Project

KidSafe serves Vancouver’s most at-risk youth by providing a safe space, developmental care and nutrition to children ages 5-13 when school is not in session. School is the centre of the universe for many children. It’s where they learn, play, eat, make friends, discover role models, develop life-long social skills, and find help if a crisis arises. These essential services cease to exist for vulnerable children when schools close for winter, spring and summer breaks. School is the center of the universe for many children. It’s where they learn, play, eat, make friends, discover role models, develop life-long social skills, and find help if a crisis arises. These essential services cease to exist for vulnerable children when schools close for winter, spring and summer breaks. That is where KidSafe steps in.

Every day of school break, our kids are welcomed to KidSafe. Together, we eat healthy meals. We do fun stuff with friends. We explore our communities and learn new things. Caring adults are always around to listen and help. But we couldn’t achieve this without your support. Your amazing help can provide children with the engaging, safe and interactive support they need and deserve when school closes.
