The Camp Kerry Society provides care and support services for children, youth, adults and families who are coping with grief, loss and/or a serious illness. Since 2007, we have served thousands of participants in BC, Ontario and the Maritimes.
Our programs and services encompass counselling, education, support groups, retreats, expressive arts therapies and more. Our unique model of care, offering the first family bereavement retreat in Canada, was developed by our Executive Director, Dr. Heather Mohan, and it has received both national and international recognition.
At this time, there is no government funding specifically dedicated to bereavement care in Canada. This is why fundraising events like the Charity Challenge at the Scotiabank Vancouver Half Marathon &5K event is so important to us. With your participation and support, we can continue to create a world where no child or family has to walk through grief alone.
